Week 1 - 6/2/2026
The first week has been a whirlwind of growth and development. Ghost has settled into her role as a wonderful mother, and the puppies are thriving.
The litter is growing beautifully, with three puppies already hitting the 2 lb milestone. While Mayapple and Violet are currently bringing up the rear, they are only trailing by a small margin and are gaining weight consistently every day. Ghost has fully settled in with the litter. We are currently removing the pig rails, as the puppies are becoming more mobile and occasionally get themselves stuck—leading to some very vocal, seagull—like protests!
To support their development, we have been completing our daily stimulation exercises, including tactile work and postural changes to encourage resiliency. Beyond these structured activities, the puppies have been getting plenty of extra love; we had family visiting this past weekend, providing them with wonderful opportunities to be held and socialized by new people. We continue to enjoy our quiet, "calm—handling" sessions, curling up with each pup in between feedings to build trust and comfort.
We are so proud of this group and are looking forward to watching their personalities continue to emerge.
