This litter represents an exciting blend of Baker’s steady, athletic structure and Ghost’s exceptional intelligence and agility. We expect these puppies to be well-balanced, high-performing Chinooks with the sturdy bone density and fluid, reach-and-drive gait that define the breed standard. With both parents boasting excellent health clearances, we anticipate robust, sound puppies capable of excelling in both performance venues and as dedicated family companions.

What to expect:

Size & Build: These pups will likely be average size and build for the breed standard.
Appearance: Genetically, this pairing offers a wonderful variety in coat color. 5 of 7 are tawny with a black mask (like Papa Baker) and 2 of 7 are buff (like Mama Ghost).
Temperament: Every puppy in this litter is bred to possess the signature Chinook temperament – loyal, intelligent, and deeply connected to their pack.

This is a satellite litter for Desert Sol Chinooks with the puppies being raised in the northern New Hampshire with Ghost & Baker's family and Desert Sol assisting their family as much as possible, including the screening and supporting of the puppy’s new homes. Ghost, The Pack Guardian

Ghost is a force of nature – brilliantly intelligent, intensely loyal, and arguably the smartest dog we have ever raised. A powerful and active athlete, she is the fastest of our pack, displaying incredible agility, leaping ability, and speed. Her natural instinct for "pack management" is remarkable; she is acutely aware of the location of every human and dog, and is quick to advocate for any pack member she feels has been separated.

While she is an affectionate, fearless, and outgoing companion who adores all people, Ghost is also a highly willful "escape artist" who possesses an impressive knack for problem-solving. Baker is a standout example of the Chinook breed, combining a robust, athletic frame with an incredibly gentle and steady temperament. Weighing in at a lean, well-muscled 70 lbs, he possesses a luxurious coat and beautiful, classic tawny markings with a black mask.

Baker is as comfortable on the couch as he is on the trail. He is the ultimate "goofy" companion – full of joy during a game of Jolly Ball, yet calm and reliable in daily life. His health is excellent, and he has passed his health clearances with flying colors, boasting excellent hips and normal eyes. Whether he is interacting with children, other dogs, cats, or chickens, Baker is consistently kind and trustworthy. As a proven sire, he brings both excellent physical structure and a balanced, loving disposition to his progeny.

Week 7 - 7/14/2026

Can you believe we are already at Week 7? In addition to more visitors helping making these pups rock solid was a visit from Jon & Kristy to conduct our puppy evaluations. The pups were put through their paces to see how they handle new stimuli, problem-solving, and structural handling. But it wasn’t all work! The pups got to experience nearby Baker River for their very first big outdoor water adventure. Between their river debuts and tackling obstacles like the play tunnel, the agility ramps, and a hilarious round of "The Great Carrot Game" (pups chasing each other around stealing a carrot from one another), it was a jam-packed week of growth.

Many of the pups brought plenty of spice to the table. Mayapple proved her bravery by climbing to the top of the slide, while Bluebell preferred giving sweet arm bear-hugs and staring you down until you pick her up. Violet is a spunky "Energizer Bunny" with a cute bunny hop who is always the last to sleep. Dandelion is an exuberant face-kisser who enjoys people, pups, and balls. Violet and Dandelion both proved to be absolute rockstars during their brave introduction videos down at the Baker River.

On the thoughtful side of the litter, Trillium and Primrose showed off incredible focus and intellect. Trillium is a highly patient thinker who analyzes objects in "3D" - literally flipping over toys or water bowls to inspect all sides - and she cleverly mastered climbing to the top of the slide. Primrose matches that bright confidence with a sweet, polite demeanor; instead of jumping in your face, she will sit and stare at you patiently until she gets loved on, balancing human cuddles with independent play. Both girls handled their big week with total grace, with Primrose tackling the rushing sounds of the river like an absolute pro.

Rounding out the litter is our wonderfully chill guy, Goldenrod. He is the definition of laid-back, preferring a sweet, passive pace over the sprinting of his siblings. He remains a total mama's boy, staying especially close to Ghost when snack time rolls around. While he can be a little tentative with brand-new experiences, he handles them with gentle curiosity - whether he's getting an up-close camera session or bravely coming face-to-face with ColbyJack (cat). With big brother Canon still trying hard to play with them and mama Ghost teaching them the ropes, the pups are thriving!
