Week 7 - 12/10/2023
This last week has flown by. It is so hard to believe that there is only one week left before these precious pups go to their forever homes. This last week consisted of continuing to hear loud sounds, taking short rides (Gremlin & Lutin got to visit the small pet store and received lots of love from the workers), leash introduction and individual time outside. As many of you know, Saturday of this week we had storms roll through Tennessee with our community getting hit hard, the pups weathered the thunderstorms very well and we received no damage in our area thankfully. However, we were prepared to retire to the basement if needed with our 10 dogs and 2 cats.
The pups are playing with each other very well and have started to master the ability to jump off and over things. They have the art of hopping all around down. They have spent a lot of time off the puppy cam as they have been getting comfortable exploring the house. Often even sleeping around the living area. They still have not gotten the courage to tackle the stairs inside the house but are very comfortable going up and down the outside steps. Keelie and Myka continue to teach the pups play techniques and setting boundaries. I am sure that Keelie appreciates the help that Myka provides.
Weights for week seven ranged from 11 to 14 pounds and the pups are pretty much on dry kibble now. We will transition this next week to feeding 3 times a day.
These pups are so sweet, and their favorite activity is to see their humans on the floor and to shower them with kisses and cuddles. They are going to make some families very happy.
This last week will be to focus on getting the pups ready to leave with their new families and going to the vet for their well puppy checkup on Monday. They have a visitor with our breeder, Kristy, who will do the puppy evaluations and spend time getting puppy love for a few days. Continue to tune into the puppy cam for this last week and experience their continued development.
