Sun God Litter: Fall 2012
Week 8 - 1/10/2013
Well we got a bit lazy writing week 8 info so now that our home is now back to normal and our puppies have all gone home we can finalize our week 8 photos and info for you. It was a hard day to say goodbye to the little pups, but it was also a lot of fun to get to know the new family members that made it out to pick up the puppies. It reinforces your thoughts that you made the right decision to pick these families for your babies. :) Lio was the last pup to go and that made it all the more difficult to say goodbye to him, but he is doing great in his new home so it couldn't make us happier! It was interesting to see how Kyra handled hanging out with one of her puppies for those last few weeks. She had a blast, but we sense moments where they will need to be outside so we can have our sanity!!! They were quite loud and for some reason Kyra has super energy reserves and was trying to play with poor Lio even when he was falling asleep. Ah what we get to look forward to on our next litter when we keep a pup of our own!
Now my favorite part in this puppy raising process is to read about all the pupdates from the new families and see pictures of them growing up and exploring their new lives! I will admit that I am a bit of a Facebook stalker so I can round up all the cute puppy pictures so that both of us (and the FB community once I post them) can ooh and ahh at the little cuties! We loved hearing how Maia was such a well-behaved pup at her extended family's dinner as she impressed everyone and how Kody graduated her first puppy class and is learning agility and traveling all over Florida in her parents' plane.
Sury is teaming up with Kona to tear up their home as they play and romp and play "keep away" from each other with toys. Lyric is starting to grow into a little beauty who will soon be a road trip girl to go places with her dad!
Keep the stories and pictures coming. We NEVER get tired of the emails and Facebook posts so when you have something to share, send it our way! It's funny that even though our next litter will be a couple years away, we are constantly thinking of fun new puppy litter themes for the names and what toys or ideas we'll incorporate in our next litter. :) I think we got the Chinook breeder fever...
The Sun God litter (as always in order of appearance):
Destination:Otto found his new home in Washington state with his new Chinook friend Jackjumper. (This is Bandit's people Rich and Cathy who were so kind to road trip him to Northern CA so he could get picked up.)
Destination:Lyric is staying close to us in Tempe, AZ and will be an only child (so we suspect she will be just a tad spoiled, and not just by dad but also her grandparents who will get to see her grow up personally!). ;)
Destination:Lio went to live with three kids and a bunny near his sister Manju in Colorado.
Destination:Nokose lives in Nevada with his half-sister Rafiki from the Lion King litter.
Destination:Maia will have four children and a kitty friend to play with in her new forever home in Texas.
Destination:Manju is journeying back to the homeland of her mother (Colorado) and will eventually get to meet her grandma and aunties from Mountain Thunder Chinooks. She also has a Chinook friend, Mochi to play with and lives near her brother Lio.
Destination:Kody was our only pup to cross the Mississippi and will have a cat and two birds as "siblings" in Florida. Her people have a plane and part of Kody's terms were that she wanted to go flying with them often. Her new people happily agreed. ;)
Destination:Sury is journeying to Washington state nearby her brother Otto. She recently met her future Chinook boyfriend Kona and friend Duke and let them know that she is the boss in her new home.
