These are very busy and curious puppies. They are still a bit clumsy, particularly jumping, but they sure are getting stronger every day. They eat like it’s their last meal. They take hard power naps throughout the days. They’re starting to gang up on their Mama Kima, chewing on her ears, feet, mouth, and tugging at her fur. She handles it with some playful mouthing or just lays there and takes it.

They had their first experience exploring the outdoors and just loved every minute. Shock was the first one wiggling to get out of my arms, followed by Jack, then Oogie, and finally Zero. They were all running and playing with fallen leaves and sticks. They experienced decomposed granite, grass, dirt, cement, rocks, and plenty of the weeds I have not had the time to tend to! They didn’t seem to care when cars drove by. Oogie did a perfect impression of a rabbit as he hopped through the grass rather than run through it like his siblings. So cute!

They eat a lot! They are eating softened kibble with a bit of canned food mixed in. They drink water with just a bit of goats milk. They love their frozen lick mats with plain yogurt with a touch of peanut butter mixed in. They also enjoy their Kongs filled with the same.

We continue to work on potty training. They all seem to feel that as long as just their front feet are in the litter box that’s good enough! Laundry goes 24/7 here! They are also starting to nap in their crates.

Photos

They are truly Chinooks though, in that they really LIKE to be with their people. Anyone that walks into the room gets quite the welcoming committee. They are SO happy to see everyone with tails wagging and jumping to be picked up and loved.
