Wow what an exciting week of firsts for the Music City Litter!

The pups were introduced to new sounds to help them later in life, sounds such as thunderstorms, fireworks, construction, traffic, motorcycles. They all did great and were the most curious about the fireworks and construction sounds.

The pups were introduced to the puppy mush and were strong eaters by the second time around. Mom and Auntie Keelie wait very impatiently to have the leftovers. The pups now come when we tap on the top of their feeding bowl. The pups also started on having a water bowl, where they still tend to walk through the water when drinking.

The pups were also introduced to the outside world as the weather has been better this week. They were very brave little troopers and showed little fear at the big, wide world out there. This week was also time to introduce the little ones to other dogs. We ended up dog sitting out daughter’s dog, Gracie. The pups just loved her, more than she loved them. She was not sure what they were and why they wanted to attack her belly. But she was a true champ with them.

Training has started to help the pups' forever owners this week. The pups are encouraged to sleep in a crate, pet bed and travel carrier. The travel carrier has yet to interest them much. The biggest achievement has been with the potty training on a pee pad and in a potty area. The are doing great and probably remember to get to a pad or to the potty area 30% of the time.

Toys have become a great interest for the pups with Dolly, Cash and Garth who love to growl and carry around the smaller toys. Willie loves the little pull toy with the wheel. Dolly often runs around like a crazy girl after meal time. They all are getting better about walking backwards and playing with each other. Willie this week is the pup that goes off to sleep by himself. And Reba while looking like she is the smallest, is one of the heaviest pups and loves her people and siblings.

We cannot wait to see what this next week brings.
