Week 7 - 4/9/2022

The Music City Litter had their first outing this week with their wellness check at the Vet. All did very well on the ride to and from. However, the wagon we got to take them into the building was not the best idea as they all decided to make a run for it. Luckily the vet tech was at the door and came to the rescue. That would have been a great video of escaping puppies. All passed their health checkup with flying colors and enjoyed their visit with the Vet and Tech.

We worked on a little leash training as all of the pups have a long distance to travel either by air or car. After their first hesitation they did very well. We continue to let the pups explore the great outdoors and the living space in the house. They now much prefer to be out of their pen especially Dolly. They have moved to dry food and are loving their meals and often try to sneak the adult dog food.

All the puppies really like being outdoors and this week in Tennessee there has been rain, sunny, windy and snow for the weather. The pups got to experience their first time with wet ground and mud, it didn’t slow them down at all. They had visits with dogs and enjoyed the playtime and followed the four adult dogs around. We also had visitors from some neighbors that are looking into the Chinook breed for a puppy from a future litter.

The pups started to play tug of war with each other and mom often takes a toy and has taught them to chase her with it. Myka really seems to enjoy playing with the little ones now. Myka has finally deemed our two cats can come and interact with the pups and both of the cats have been very patient with all the puppy smelling and kisses, at least to a point. The cats do not like it however, when all eight decide they need to be in on the greeting.
