Week 5 - 3/26/2022
All the pups are growing in leaps and bounds now that they are eating well with the puppy mush. One of the biggest weight gains was Wynona, she really, really likes the puppy mush.
This last week’s focus was on introducing the pups to the world individually. At the start of the week the males did not care for the experience at all and the females all showed them up. But now all pups are getting comfortable exploring on their own. We continue to expose them to loud sounds and music which often calms them.
The puppy’s play has become more aggressive towards each other as they explore their capabilities of running, jumping and fighting with each other. Mama and Auntie Keelie want to get in on the action and have taught the pups the play bow. Wynona was the first to climb up on the two step stool and jump off, she really likes to be up high on things, including the little slide we have. She will often get up on the top and go to sleep there.
The pups also continue to learn to potty in their area and are doing better in doing their business in the proper area. The cuddlers are Jo Dee, Cash, Willie, Shania and Dolly they love to spend time in our laps and lavish us with puppy kisses. Garth, Reba, Wynona love to nip around our toes and play with us.
